Building Schools for China's Earthquake Victims
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesOBI had teamed up with the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation to help aid students whose schools were destroyed in the earthquake. Approximately 1,600 schools were severely damaged and more than 400 demolished. Having already fully-funded the very first school to be rebuilt in the region, OBI plans to raise funds for as many additional schools as possible. Hardest hit areas: Chengdu, Dujiangyan and Mianyang Provinces ActivitiesEach project will construct a safe metal-frame school bldg., dormitory, kitchen & bathroom in just 10 days plus furnish the basics of beds, desks, chairs & chalkboards.
