Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesLast year, 500 families living in six villages located in the north east of the Nablus region received food covering one month of "iftar" meals for a family of 7-9; an additional 400 families received supplemental food aid during feast days (Eid ul-Fitr)." Special attention is given to nourishing the most vulnerable groups, including widows, elderly & orphans. Due to the effects of the global food crisis, this year's need is greater than ever. ActivitiesIn cooperation with local Zakat (alms) committees and village councils, NEF identifies the most needy residents and distributes food packages accordingly. Each package contains $50 worth of basic staples, including rice, beans, barley, and cheese.
