Project Needs and Beneficiaries

An unprecedented series of hurricanes and tropical storms have caused catastrophic damage in Haiti over the last three weeks leading to over 600 deaths. As many as 350,000 people are suffering from severe damage caused to housing, potable water, sanitation, social services and infrastructure. Thousands of families are homeless. Without immediate and sustained humanitarian assistance an even worse catastrophe will emerge, with civil disorder as an ever-present threat.

Activities

With an existing nationwide presence in Haiti and experience working there in various roles for over ten years, CHF International is well-positioned to respond to the crisis. CHF will begin immediately constructing shelters for families affected.
