Environmental Awareness, Recycling & Culture

Brazil produces 6 billion plastic bottles a year and less than 2% are recycled. The Vigário Geral community was identified as an ideal locality to implement this project which links the needy people to the environmental issue. There exists a causal relationship between this type of trash and its impact on the environment as some of the bay’s tributaries originate from around the Vigário Geral area.
