Developing Rural Water Supply in Nigeria
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesObtaining safe water for drinking has remained a prerogative to the privileged few in Nigeria. Water supplies in public schools, health care institutions and other public sources are often contaminated due to the lack of proper sewage waste management. Prevalence of water-born diseases (such as typhoid fever and cholera) has been on the increase, especially among children and the elderly. ActivitiesThe villagers will be trained to properly operate and maintain the water supply system in order to assure long-term sustainability of the system.
