ICT promotion for community development in Ghana
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesStudent teams are establishing Community Learning and Technology Centers (CLTCs) to provide the average Ghanaian access to ICT. 7 CLTCs have been established so far. Over 50 CLTCs will be established throughout the country over the next 5 years. Funds will be used to employ 4 Community Services Foundation (CSF) staff, provide transportation needs for student teams and prepare CLTC facilities for installation of computer and network equipment. ActivitiesCSF, founds CLTCs to work with local school administration and community leaders to prepare a facility, trainers and local management team. CSF then runs the training program for trainers at KNUST. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $1,520 Funding Policy: subsidized/guaranteed Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available. Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $1,520as of Jun 09 2004. The original project funding goal was $40,000.
