Mission

Develop Peru economic, natural and social capital for its sustainable development

Programs

We are currently developing programs in 3 action areas: environmental engineering and management; community economic development and environmental education and culture. Main programs being implemented include: the Green Valley Sustainable Development Program; the Buena Voz Program (young people environmental leadership program); the PROESCUELA program (environmental education in 50 peri-urban schools): AGUA PARA TODOS (water management and sanitation with 51 Andean communities).

Personnel Overview

Anna Zucchetti - Executive Director, GEA Group
Anna is a biologist with an MSC in Environmental Education (Madrid U) and Environmental Sciences (U of London). She has been working during the past 14 years in applied projects on socio-environmental issues, specifically in environmental planning and environmental education. At GEA she is the leader of a multidisciplinary team of more than 2O professionals promoting Sustainable Development

Susana Imaña - Project Coordinator
Susana has been working in environmental education projects for the past 7 years both in government and non-governmental organizations. Currently she is project coordinator at GEA where she runs a number of innovative environmental education projects: the “Discover the Green Valley” programme, “VIVA the City,” and an urban environmental education program

Oscar Bringas - Project Consultant
Oscar is a chemist with a deep interest in biodiversity, conservation and education and is THE expert in urban biodiversity in Peru. He has served as volunteer for park conservation and environmental education programs in the Amazon jungle and in Lima, as well as a teacher in biodiversity and environmental education issues in many schools.
