Enabling Honduran Farmers to Earn Their Own Land
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesLand is a precious commodity throughout the world. Disenfranchised rural families lack access to the kind of credit needed to buy their own land. Trapped in a cycle of basic survival, they pay exorbitant rents for poor quality land or work for desperately low wages as migrant laborers. Agros restores hope and opportunity for such families in Honduras by purchasing farmland, providing agricultural training, and much more. Families pay back the cost of the land, proudly earning right to its title. ActivitiesLoan payments fund the purchase of land for new Agros communities.
