Supporting Poor Families Affected by HIV/AIDS
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesIn Kenya, three people die from HIV-related illnesses every five minutes. Families lack access to treatment, nutritional foods and care. In the rural villages of Kapkoi and Kambi in Mois Bridge, the situation is even worse. Over 68% of the families earn less than $1 a day. ActivitiesWe will provide small-business loans to families affected by the disease; purchase antiretroviral drugs; offer bursaries to orphans; facilitate medical checkups for common infections; provide home-based care for PLWA and purify water for 50 families Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $32,000 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding.
