Thank You letter
By Joe - Communication Manager, December 05, 2006 05:03 PM
Before the introduction of ARV drugs in Kenya, contracting HIV was considered a death sentence. This is slowly changing but the stigma still remains as strong.
Many of our beneficiaries have undergone the full cycle. Kindly share a rare moment with one of our beneficiaries, Abel, a very creative and talented peer educator.
We are so proud of him! Attachments:
What a Year!
By Stella - Program Coordinator, December 05, 2006 04:56 PM
With only US$14,000, ATM was able to directly reach over 5,200 beneficiaries! This means that each person utilized only $2.5. Our cost effective programs have continued to attract the support of well-wishers and as we enter the festive seasons, we hope that more people will team up with us in bringing a smile of hope to the faces of orphans, widows and peasant community members.
This current report details how donations through GlobaGiving were utilized and how many people benefitted and the impact. Enjoy, and thanks! Attachments:
Annual Administrative report
By Joe - Communication Manager, September 27, 2006 09:51 PM
ATM has seen a lot of goodwill from both donors and the local community. We managed to reach more people than we have ever done and this year saw an increase in our visibility in the community after winning several awards in a recent competition (see previous progress report).
This report shows some of our activities over the past year and the number of clients served. As usual, we wish to thank all of you who stood by us and who showed confidence in our ability to effect change in our community. Thank you! Attachments:

Last year, the Advocates for Teen Mothers conducted a joint survey in Kenyan schools on how lack of reproductive health information has impacted their growth and what could be done to stem the rising numbers of girls dropping from school at an early age, prevent the rapid spread of HIV/AIDS and increase school retention rates.
The following report is the end of project summary of findings of this survey carried out in six secondary schools between April 2005 and February 2006. Attachments:
Update on our Project!
By AMT - , May 18, 2006 01:36 PM
ATM UPDATE
Over the past two quarters, ATM received approximately US$665 from the Global Giving donors.
In December 2005, we visited over 115 families either infected or affected by HIV/Aids in Moi’s Bridge.
We were also able to increase the number of volunteers working for us and who provided our clients with counseling on a variety of issues including how to access Voluntary Counseling & Testing services, small scale business management courses, academic tutoring for children affected with HIV as well as community sensitization.
Read the attached report to see how 30 persons have benefited exclusively from Global Giving donations only even though we received funding from other sources e.g. the community, personal donations and program related services. We hope to share with all our donors the detailed financial reports once our auditors are through with the figures.
We wish to thank all the donors who supported us and who still continue to have faith in what small, under funded and grassroots based organizations can do to uplift the living standards of their communities.
