More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesTo reduce the deaths of those under five years of age due to malnutrition, diarrhea, primary tuberculosis, malaria and measles which is found to be quite common in the slums of Ahmedabad city. The project will raise awareness levels of pregnant women and caregivers of the target beneficiaries regarding antenatal care, care of newborn/infants and early treatment of childhood illness, which is presently found to be quite low. An estimated 15000 beneficiaries would be covered by the program. ActivitiesHealth Education: Imparting health education to caregivers & key stakeholders in the community through individual meeting, Group education sessions, & use of mainstream media as well as folk media for mass outreach. Formation of Health Committees. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $1,962 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding.
