More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe enactment of a new law to govern the fiscal relationships between Federal Government and the provinces is a stalled duty provided for by the 1994 Argentine Constitution. Nevertheless, the presence of opposite interests obstacles the discussion. We believe that the achievement of this project can constitute an important element to advance in this issue. The Executive Branch, Provinces and Parliament would be interested in the completion of the project. Activitiesa) To measure the cost per capita of public goods provision; b) To measure the tax collection capacity of each province; c) To estimate the fiscal gap and compare it with the current tax-sharing mechanism.
