Summary

The project supports professional clowns who bring joy to hospitalized children and the research to generate and disseminate knowledge on this new form of artistic intervention.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

The main beneficiaries are the hospitalized children - empowerment through joy; a creative artistic interaction with them, in which the clown offers his best work and skills and the child chooses to interact or not, thus regaining some control over his life/body during the hospitalization process.

Activities

Actors, working in couples, visit hospitals twice a week. Using clown language, they perform delightful parodies of medical procedures.
