Interactive Signing Stories for deaf children
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesOne of the first and most important contacts between mothers and children happens through storytelling. But deaf children do not have access to stories told orally, and 95% of deaf children have hearing parents and teachers that do not sign. With no common language, deaf children grow up without the opportunity to learn with and through stories. Stories are essential to access the world and to enjoy language, which will in the future help children learn to read and write. ActivitiesElaboration of an interactive video with 3 stories with deaf signing characters and Spanish subtitles, development of an activity guide for families and teachers, editing and distribution.
