Capacity-Building for Palestinian Media
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesIn this time of heightened violence plaguing Palestinian-Israeli relations, it is important to support balanced, moderate media because of the media’s crucial role – either to inflame or defuse tension. While TV programs alone cannot change political reality, they can be important conduits for new ideas and perspectives. The Ma’an Network of independent TV stations offers a democratic alternative to state-run media and stimulates fresh thinking. ActivitiesAn international expert will provide a 2-week practical training course to TV journalists consisting of better use of recently acquired technology through on-the-job training, practical application of Western-style media principles and programming.
