Islam-Western Relations: A Youth Media Project
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesCommon Ground News Service provides articles to over 10,000 subscribers aimed at causing a positive shift in the tone of Islamic-Western relations by influencing how leading print media outlets across this divide present and address key issues. This project gives young people from the Arab world and the West a chance to write articles about cooperation and mutual understanding. CG News has over has had over 1000 articles reprinted in major media outlets in Israel and the Arab World. ActivitiesThis project will produce a monthly column dedicated to the voices of youth that will be distributed to the 10,000 subscribers and reprinted in major newspapers. Many articles will be co-written by youth from the Middle East and the US. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $1,498 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available. Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $1,498. The original project funding goal was $12,000.
