Mission

As an NGO working in the field of de-addiction since 1993 and HIV/AIDS since 1996, our mission is to ensure that the quality of life of people is not destroyed by either addiction or AIDS. Our approach has been holistic and comprises medical, social & psychological support. Freedom Foundation believes that, “there are two components in any rehabilitation / care & support programme that are extremely essential…..acceptance & freedom”.

Programs

(1) Rehabilitation for people with chemical dependency; (2) Care & support for people living with HIV; (3) Comprehensive care and home for HIV +ve orphans. (4) PMTCT projects in private / city run maternity homes; (5) Awareness regarding HIV/AIDS; (6) Income generation for HIV infected persons.

Dr. Ashok Rau - Executive Trustee and CEO
With over a decade of experience in the field of chemical dependency & HIV/AIDS, Dr. Ashok Rau strives to make a difference in the lives of PLHAs. Under him, the organization has grown into the largest NGO in India providing care & support to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Christopher Skill - General Manager – Projects
He has over 7 years experience in the fields of chemical dependency & HIV/AIDS. He is responsible for planning, setting up and supervising the various projects of Freedom Foundation.

Hepzibah Sharmila - Manager – PMTCT project
Has 11 years of grass root experience in Community Health & Development. Is responsible for managing the day to day PMTCT operations.
