Mission
WACN's vision if to create a just society in Nepal. Our mission is the empowerment of the disadvantaged, women in particular.
Programs
Initiate integrated community-based development programs, informal savings and credit groups and cooperatives for women; organize training for men and women on topics such as agriculture, health, gender issues, savings and credit, and cooperatives; publish books and other materials on issues pertaining to women; organize sustainable agriculture training and establishing model farmers in communities to serve as a future resource.

Personnel Overview
Prativa Subedi - Secretary
Prativa Subedi, was nominated as Ashoka Fellow in 1992. Prativa began her work among underprivileged groups of women and helped them with projects, ranging from environmental conservation projects, health care services to income generation. Having gained experience working with poor, Prativa decided to start her own organization. Prativa has a B.A., a one year B.Ed., and an M.A. in economics.
