Medical Camps for victims in Tamil Nadu
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe tsunami destroyed medical clinics and equipment in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu state in India. Teams of medical personnel need support to care for the tens of thousands of people injured in the Kanchipuram district. Many of the affected are fisherman which is economically an important sector of the population. ActivitiesThe medical teams will work with community programs to provide relief in rural villages and fishing towns. Activities will include direct medical care and donations of necessary items like clothes and supplies. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $2,700 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available. Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $2,700. The original project funding goal was $25,000.
