Project Needs and Beneficiaries

In Aceh, a province within 65 miles of the epicenter of the worst natural disaster in over 40 years, deaths number over 80,000 Survivors are in desperate need of food, safe water, shelter and medical supplies.

Activities

Aid includes water-sealed buckets with water purification tablets, bleach, rehydration tablets, bandages, vitamins, medicine for diarrhea, cold and cough medicine, mosquito nets, candles, non-perishable foods, cooking utensils and other items.

Funding Information

This project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.

Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $23,692.  The original project funding goal was $15,000.

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

Care packages, estimated to cost $25 each, will be distributed to people in need within the Aceh region. Donations will also be used to fund the cost of renting trucks to deliver the care packages and other supplies, usually a two to three day trip.
