More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesSri Lanka took a direct hit from quake-generated waves. More than 24,000 lives were cut short by the tsunami, and at least 750,000 people were left homeless. Survivors beyond count are traumatized. ActivitiesCARE’s long-term presence means our staff were able to respond in the earliest moments of crisis. We are providing basic food, clean water, clothes and bedding materials in the hardest hit districts. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $5,404 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.
