More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Arts for All serves in-need children who have little means or opportunity to explore the arts due to economic disadvantages, physical and mental disabilities, hospitalization, socialization issues, emotional trauma, or any other life challenge. This project will provide children with the opportunity to have a professional live show come directly to their school or youth organization. If enough funds are raised, we will also send children free drama workshops prior to the performance.
Activities
Arts for All will send out 10 live performances of "The Tall Tales of Enoch." At each performance we anticipate a minimum of 250 children. Youth will be given "study guides" to introduce the show and its themes prior to the performance.

Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
This show has valuable themes that will stay with children, such as being honest, sharing with others, and being proud of who you are. By exposing youth to the theater, we are creating better listeners and future theater audiences.
Project Message
“This is one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed, and I thank you for the chance to see true art.” *** "I want you to come back every day, even in the summer!"

Here is a summary of the show:
The Tall Tales of Enoch
By: Alan Ostroff
Enoch is a seven-year old with a problem – he's desperate to impress his new third grade class! Here are just a few of the tall tales Enoch tells during his first day: The toy badge he gets from his dad, the policeman, makes Enoch a real policeman too; his paper bag lunch is a gourmet feast he made himself, since he is a chef; he can’t play baseball at recess because his contract with the Yankees says he shouldn’t risk off-season injury; and he has to wear comically oversized pants in gym class because he is six foot five!!!
As people believe Enoch, he believes himself! But a combination of new friends, loving parents, and the realization that he can’t live up to his false promises, teaches the boy to be honest, and to stop spinning The Tall Tales of Enoch. The Tall Tales of Enoch is a short play for children, grades K-5, all about learning the importance of honesty, and discovering that being your true self is the most impressive thing of all!
