More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Talking Drum Studio produces a weekly radio program, Golden Kids News, produced by and for children. Children have been uniquely affected by war in Liberia, both as victims and combatants. Further, their perspectives on issues are different from adults, and need to be taken into account. As displaced people are such a large sector of Liberia's population, TDS is developing a network of child cub reporters drawn from this population to represent their concerns and views on a range of topics.
Activities
This project will to establish a network of displaced children from diverse backgrounds. Each child will be equipped with a journalist's kit and trained in journalism. Together they will gather interviews and content to produce Golden Kids News.
