Mission
The Center for Digital Inclusion (CDI) is a global NGO that implements educational programs designed to expose disadvantaged groups and impoverished communities to new technologies. We promote social inclusion of vulnerable populations by using education and technology to fight poverty, stimulate entrepreneurship, strengthen communities and empower them to transform their realities. Today, CDI has operations in 10 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, the UK and the US.
Programs
CDI Schools or Community Centers are technology and learning hubs in disenfranchised communities, developed in partnership with an existing grassroots organization. These organizations provide the infrastructure and CDI provides free computers and software, implements educational programs, trains instructors and monitors the schools. We are also present in indigenous communities, psychiatric clinics, hospitals for mentally or physically disabled, as well as youth & adult detention facilities.
