More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
TGC is a community led effort engaging young people in innovative horticulture – breaking the cycles of hunger and poverty. TGC participants are connected with Internet so they can have access to information that is immediately needed in rural places (weather, pests, prices). A website community would allow young people to learn how to use the Internet, to connect with valuable expert resources, and to exchange ideas, stories, and advice with their peers internationally.
Activities
The website will feature interactive lessons on how to search the Internet to find information, a collection of participant submitted locally relevant resources, a database of concrete production data, and common space to share ideas and find advice
Funding Information
This project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
Additional Documentation
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).

Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
Updating the website will enhance communications, giving participants access to info and other TGC sites. Increased access to education through the internet and agriculture will provide economic opportunity, breaking the cycles of hunger and poverty.
Project Message
After planting, we went to the computer lab to talk to our friends in Ghana. Their uniforms were different, but other than that they look like us. I am excited to talk them again.
