Mission
IDE's mission is to address rural poverty in the world’s least developed countries. IDE confronts the challenge of rural poverty by enabling small farm families to access and control water, increase production, create wealth, and improve their quality of life.
Programs
IDE works in some of the world’s poorest countries, with projects and program offices located in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. IDE currently operates 70 projects worldwide. We help poor rural farmers generate incomes and improve the quality of their lives through training them in agriculture, affordable water technologies, and creating links to markets there they can sell crops for profit.
