Mission
UMZINGISI FOUNDATION is a non-profit organisation based in the disadvantaged communities of South Africa. Our mission is to develop talented young orphaned and vulnerable youth from historically disadvantaged communities using sport as a tool to realise their potential. Umzingisi is equally committed to nurturing its students into rounded members of the community through its life skills programme. We aim for 100% placement of graduating students into tertiary education.
Programs
The Mass Participation Program develops life skills through an introduction to sport to a large number of children. The program uses structured coaching as the foundation to provide a holistic education that is otherwise not provided by the schools. The School of Excellence invites learners to take part in an after-school program that runs daily to equip them with life skills that will lead to the eventual uplifting of their families and the community around them.
