Mission

AIDMI is a community-based action research, action planning & action advocacy org. It works towards bridging the gap between policy, practice & research related to disaster risk mitigation & reduction. As an operational & learning org., it links local community with national policies of relief & long-term recovery. AIDMI’s mission is to mainstream disaster risk reduction & turn disaster relief & rehabilitation into an opportunity for sustainable human development & poverty alleviation.

Programs

AIDMI has 4 security programs: food, water, livelihood, and habitat. The security programs and the 11 activity centers are connected and try to integrate sustainable disaster mitigation efforts.
