Mission

The Women's Foundation of California invests in women and girls to build a more just and equitable society for all.

Programs

The Foundation simultaneously invests in the strategies of grantmaking, strengthening organizations, policy advocacy and movement building. In addition to our strategies, we will bring together donors, activists, business and community leaders and government officials to create a larger vision for California in 2020 and to set a new standard for creating systemic change.

Personnel Overview

Judy Patrick - Executive Vice President of Programs
Judy Patrick has led the programmatic work of the Women's Foundation of California since 1999, including the allocation of an annual average of $2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations serving women and girls in California. Judy has led the Foundation’s advocacy and policy change work, including the development of the groundbreaking Elder Women’s Initiative.

Karla Rodriguez - Special Projects Program Officer
Karla Rodriguez oversees the Elder Women’s Initiative as well as other special projects at the Foundation. Karla brings ten years of experience developing and directing women’s health and capacity building programs. From 1998-2002, she launched and directed the Promotoras Program, a reproductive health empowerment program led by local women community health workers.
