Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Women and girls, who are forced to get involved in various types of nefarious activities of drug peddling and trafficking and similar other acitivies. Tikiapara is predominantly a Muslim slum – above 80% population is of Muslims. The condition of women and children (specially girls) is very bad. Lack of education results in large numbers of children per family, total neglect of the girl children as they are supposed to be a liability for the family
Activities
SHM runs the vocational training project at (MOTHER FLORENCE CENTRE) of Hand embroidery works, that fetches each girls an amount of Rs.2500/- to Rs.3000/- per month for the women.
