More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Land is a precious commodity throughout the world. Disenfranchised rural families in Mexico lack access to the kind of credit needed to buy their own land. Trapped in a cycle of basic survival, they pay exorbitant rents for poor land or work for desperately low wages as migrant laborers. Agros restores hope and opportunity for such families by purchasing farmland, providing agricultural training, and much more. Families pay back the cost of the land, proudly earning right to its title.

Activities

Agros also develops local leadership, facilitates building of housing and infrastructure, providing business loans and training, and ensuring education, health care and spiritual nurture.

The mission of Agros is highly motivating as a solution for the most needy. I am very sure that we can do a great work in Chiapas.
