Our mission is to create large scale sustainable livelihoods. Sustainable livelihoods implies that there are informed and empowered communities with access to dignified and viable income generation opportunities and a clean and healthy environment. The strategy adopted by Development Alternatives to fulfill this mission is innovation, demonstration, and multiplication through technologies and processes.

Programs

Development Alternatives (DA) is currently working in the fields of energy efficiency, pollution prevention, manufacturing waste minimization, environmental assessment at the community level, and community empowerment. The organization works with corporations by facilitating corporate sustainability methods through planning and management, capacity building and research and outreach. DA also undertakes resettlement, reconstruction and rehabilitation projects in natural disaster prone areas.

Doctorate in Physical Organic Chemistry at Sri Venketeswara University in Tirupati. Area of expertise is in Environmental Management Systems planning, design and facilitation of implementation, corporate responsibility, state of the environment studies and regional assessments. Responsible for program planning, management and business development. Member of key national and international bodies.
