Summary
Secondary education in the pueblos jovenes around Arequipa will be provided to all children in their own communities. Presently the few that can get an education have to walk miles each day.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries
In the pueblos jovenes, set up around Arequipa by migrants seeking work in the big city, secondary education is not really an option, thus chances of work are minimal. By bringing secondary education into these areas the future is considerably brighter for the children and their families.
Activities
We can ensure these communities get the same opportunities as everyone else by providing free schooling and vocational skills. With very small contributions from families and graduates, the school will then become sustainable.

Potential Long Term Impact
Over the years this school will teach thousands. Because it will be run and funded by local communities in the future, it will also foster strong communities and ensure the indigenous populations are not swallowed up by development and ruralisation.
Project Message
These children deserve more, they don't have the opportunities to progress. Secondary education is key to fulfill there life's dreams.
