Mission
WHEAT Trust was started by women to empower women to develop their communities, and to promote a culture of giving; with the philosophy that one person's well-being is inextricably linked to the well-being of others. WHEAT Trust raises funds to provide seed money for grassroots educational and training programs.
Programs
WHEAT Trust grants annual awards to fund training for both community organizations and individual leaders which support women's development initiatives. Past awards have helped women develop food gardens, sewing projects, HIV awareness classes, improvement of community resources such as parks and roads and domestic violence recovery programs.
