Mercy Corps exists to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Before becoming a program officer for Mercy Corps, she did part-time work for local non-governmental organizations while a student in medical school. Now she travels regularly from Beijing to Sichuan Province - her home - to visit the Project GLOW site.
