Mission
AED-SATELLIFE is a global leader in delivering life-saving medical and public health information to doctors, nurses, policymakers, and community health workers in the world’s poorest countries. Wherever AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis are commonplace, but critical tools such as medical journals and Internet access are unaffordable luxuries, AED-SATELLIFE provides access to up-to-date, reliable, and relevant health information, improving the healthcare of patients worldwide.
Programs
AED-SATELLIFE’s activities reach an estimated 130,000 healthcare workers in 159 countries by providing free electronic health publications with material selected to be relevant to healthcare providers in the developing world and by hosting expertly moderated discussion groups to foster global knowledge-sharing. We also build local capacity and establish sustainable networks of communication through our special health technology projects in Africa and Asia.
