Project Needs and Beneficiaries
The project brings rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities in the places where they live, aiming at their optimal self-reliance and social integration. We plan to train an average of 25 volunteers each for 20 of the most depressed municipalities in the region in the basic techniques of physical rehabilitation and of referrals for specialized medical interventions like surgeries for cleft, cataract and orthopedic deformities.
Activities
If we have 25 trained community based rehabilitation volunteers in each of the 20 targeted municipalities some 10,000 persons with disabilities will receive the rehabilitation services which they don't receive now.

6TH SUMMER CAMP FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN

It has been the Loving Presence Foundation’s tradition in coordination with the different government offices and the Bislig Committee for the Welfare of Special Persons here in the city of organizing a summer camp for special children. We called it Summer Kamp ParaISO, PARAISO means paradise and the ISO meaning children.
For this year, for the 6th time around the Summer Camp was once again held. Having the theme: “Summer Kamp ParaISO ang tinuod nga paraISO para sa mga batang adunay kapansanan( Summer Camp the true paradise for special children). By this time, 50 children with special needs able to make their summer vacation a paradise. Lots of activities were done (art making, theatre plays, talent’s night, parlor games and a lot more) which had been a huge help for the kids in developing and enhancing their talents, self-esteem and somehow taught them of being self-reliance.
The entire activity, might had been tiresome for us organizers but looking the happy faces of special children, though they cannot tell us how thankful they were, but just by looking their smiles and happy faces everything were all worth it.
The activity will never be this successful without the help of our partners both local and in abroad like Global Giving Organizations. We keep on praying that our Almighty will continuously blessed this organization and their donors for us to also continue helping and spreading their blessings to the poor disabled people here in our region.
