More Information About this Project

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Though by many accounts Haiti receives a lot of international aid, it remains the poorest country in the western hemisphere. We believe that Haiti is in need of aid that helps its people to develop skills that are increasingly in demand in the labor market. We hope to provide Haitian youths living in Leogane and its surroundings, the opportunity to earn certification programs that are globally recognized as standards for technical proficiency and expertise in business productivity applications.

Activities

We will establish the first authorized Microsoft Office Specialist certification Training and Testing center in Haiti. Two levels of certification, Specialist and Expert, will be available. Master certification is achieved by passing all the exams.

Why this Project is Important

Potential Long Term Impact

We will equip hundreds of talented Haitian youths with the skills, competence and confidence needed to compete for jobs in businesses in Haiti. They will also be well-prepared to be the technology teachers of tomorrow in the schools and Universities

Project Message

As a Haitian-American, I’ve always been fascinated by the many opportunities for Higher education that this country offers and long to provide some venues for youths in Haiti to better themselves.
