Mission

Hlomelikusasa Rural Women Development Network is a rural women’s organization run and managed by women dedicated to improve the quality of life and living conditions of women in rural areas. Through its capacity building programs it strives to ensure the involvement of women in all community development initiatives.

Programs

Hlomelikusasa, meaning “Skills for the Future” was founded in 1994 to work with rural women to secure their rights, give them better access to information and services about HIV/AIDS, hold workshops to educate youth & men about gender equality while empowering women to gain better welfare through income generating projects like sewing girls’ uniforms, small catering businesses and livestock raising that ultimately benefit the whole community.
