Mission

We envision an equitable and sustainable society where people live in peace with dignity. Our mission is to promote a process which is sustainable, socially inclusive and gender equitable, to enable critical masses of poor and marginalized rural people or communities to achieve a dignified quality of life.

Programs

Gram Vikas’ activities are organized under MANTRA – Movement and Action Network for Transformation of Rural Areas. We are enabling infrastructure, livelihoods and food security, self governing people’s institutions, education and health. Some activities include development of watershed areas; setting up micro-energy systems in un-electrified villages; running village level and residential schools for tribal children; and formation and strengthening of women’s self help groups.
