More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
The Nobelity Project has partnered with a low-income community to turn a local primary school into the top-rated school in the district. But education shouldn’t end after the 8th grade. With no high school in the area, the children of Mahiga have few options in life. Be one of 1000 Voices for Hope! Join the Choir with our donors Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett and Emily Robison & Martie Maguire of The Dixie Chicks. 1,000 donors x $100 = HOPE
Activities
This funding will be matched to double every dollar donated, resulting in construction of 8 modern classrooms, science labs, computer and book libraries. They will join the award-winning RainWater Court, already funded.

Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
To enable the education district to provide a full 12-year education for all local students, up to 100 students per grade. The aim is for every student to have a diploma and the qualifications for employment or advancement to Kenyan Universities.
Project Message
The sea is made up of drops of water. What you do, where you are, is of significance. In Africa, they say there is only one way of eating an elephant... one piece at a time.
- Desmond Tutu, from "Nobelity"
