Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Faced with the scope of this issue, Hasbro employees created Project Zambi and ZAMBI THE BABY ELEPHANT to make a difference and to assist these children. Inspired by an organization in Zambia that funds schools, teacher training, and transportation of in-kind donated needs, the Project Zambi Fund will support similar initiatives in Zambia.
Activities
The Project Zambi Fund will begin making grants through the Hasbro Children's Fund late in 2009 to organizations assisting children orphaned by AIDS in Africa.

Potential Long Term Impact
The AIDS epidemic has left millions of children in Africa without parents to care for them. Many organizations and communities have taken it upon themselves to support these children with daily needs like clothing, food, shelter, and education.
