Mission

Together, we access peace by creating a knowledge bridge between ancient wisdom and today's world.

Programs

2008-9, organizing American volunteers to survey communal and sacred indigenous lands; and providing locals with surveying tools & training to them . 2007, organized & sponsored an international youth leadership camp in Altai with indigenous groups; organized trip to US for young Altai leaders to meet Native American leaders. 2006, organized & sponsored an environmental clean-up at a UNESCO World Heritage Site; organized & sponsored 3 strategic planning meetings for diverse groups in Altai.

Personnel Overview

Carol Hiltner - Founding president
Since 2004, Carol has worked full time to bring international resources and practical development & educational projects to the Altai culture and unique ecosystem. She facilitates healthy interchange between Altai people and the world. She has helped initiate numerous humanitarian projects in Russia since 1986. Carol is an editor/publisher of educational materials, webmaster, & strategic planner.

Danil Mamyev - Founding Director, Altai Land Preserve Association
Danil is an internationally respected indigenous elder. As Land Use Director for Ongudai Region, he established the Karakol Valley EthnoCultural Park to preserve the ancient standing stones, burial mounds, and petroglyphs.

Alexei Pulin - Director, Vladimir Land Center
Alexei directs a nonprofit group of Russian attorneys focused on issues of land rights, ownership, and justice that have arisen since the restructuring of Russia. They conducted a successful land registration campaign in Ukraine.
