Mission

Our mission requires the generation on a large scale of alternate sources of fast growing trees for charcoal and firewood. Our goal is to stop the destruction of the forests of Kenya for charcoal, and start restoring the national forest cover through these missions and vital interventions, building capacity with rural people for reforestation and the conservation of their forests and environment.

Programs

Following on from two project areas in the Aberdares the trust has set up a base in the Lake Magadi region and the coast province of Kenya.Biofuels crops are being added to our programs to further boost our rural communities wealth creating potential.

Personnel Overview

Adam Tuller - Chairman/Founder
Adam developed a plan to produce the right kind of tree quickly and inexpensively. He was able to get the saplings into the hands of rural African farmers to help plant out trees. His 10 years of research in advanced agroforestry for conservation have taught him that getting the tree and its means of production right is the first critical step.

Stacy Harris - Program Manager
Stacy graduated from Colgate University in 1988 with a degree in Education. A teacher, social worker and NGO Director for the past 20 years, Stacy has devoted his career to children and development in poor areas. He joined ACT with the goal of assisting African women and children, while at the same time, combating Global Warming.
