Project Needs and Beneficiaries
large number of children in India do not have access to schools because of hunger and poverty.Inability to access even one nutritional meal per day severely limits their capacity to concentrate in classroom and receive proper education, and often results in dropping out. A full meal promotes education, health and food security of poor children and helps to break the cycle of poverty, hunger and illeteracy.
Activities
Food is cooked in technology intensive centralised kitchens and distributed to schools in custom built vans. Impact assessment of the programme is done by third party organisations based on feedbacks of children and other indicators like enrollment.
