More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
As of mid-March over 4000 Zimbabweans have died from Cholera, a treatable disease. This is due to the disintegration in the water and sewer systems plus a complete collapse of the health system. This combination has created a perfect storm scenario for death and disease. Cholera is spreading all over the country including Manicaland Province where ASAP works with rural women. Many of the people in rural areas don’t know how cholera spreads. Knowledge is power!
Activities
ASAP will conduct a 3-day Cholera/Malaria workshop for 24 women CFs on how these diseases spread and how to stop them. The CFs will then cascade the knowledge to at least 12,000 women in their villages on how to avoid Cholera and Malaria.
