Mission
Vision: We believe in a world where everyone has access to resources which will protect them against poverty and avoidable ill-health. Mission: Riders aims to ensure that motorized vehicles used for the delivery of health care and associated development in Africa are appropriate and available for the maximum time at the minimum cost.
Programs
Implementing Transport Resource Management system to ensure sustainable transportation and enhancing local people’s skills within programs in Zimbabwe, Nigeria and The Gambia. Working with health authorities, WHO, UN, ngos, commercial sector. Community project - Uhuru motorcycle/sidecar ambulance - can pump water when stationary. In Kenya collaborating with AID Village Clinics on transportation, working to ameliorate and reverse high rates of HIV/AIDS infection and infections by other disease.

Personnel Overview
Andrea Coleman - Chief Executive Officer - Finance
In 1989, Andrea and Barry Coleman recognized that development initiatives in Africa, especially disease control, were undermined by the lack of reliable transportation. Based on experience with SCF and WHO and on her knowledge of the motorcycling community, Andrea devised innovative fundraising methods to attract support. Andrea continues to guide Riders’ financial and funding development.
Barry Coleman - Chief Executive Officer - Operations
2004 Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur, co-founder Barry has 15 years' experience in developing sustainable (and sustained) systems for managing all modes of land transport in difficult or hostile conditions. Designer of Transport Resource Management system. Former journalist (The Guardian, BBC) with several years' experience in management consultancy specializing in corporate communications.
Mohale Moshoeshoe - Operations Director
Mr Moshoeshoe worked for the Ministry of Health from 1989 - 1992. He joined Riders for Health in 1991 and became Fleet Manager in Lesotho from 1992. Mr Moshoeshoe developed the South African regional strategy from 1998 - 2000. He came to the UK soon after as the director of operations to manage the daily running of Riders' transport resource management system in various African countries.
