Mission

GEMINI seeks to empower and build the capacity of marginalized communities through information-sharing, skills-building and training to enable them make informed choices.

Programs

Know Your Status: Encourages clients to test for HIV, access treatment and social support through mobile VCT, counseling and education to encourage behavior change. Breaking the Cycle of Violence empowers leaders with information, skills and training to enable them support grassroots-based advocacy against gender-based violence. Reaching for the Stars taps the creativity and energy of youth in addressing reproductive health through outreach, mobilization, edutainment and outdoor sports.

Personnel Overview

STELLA AMOJONG OMUNGA - PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Graduated in IT; Diploma in Social Work, Gender Development & Project Management; Certificate in HIV Counseling. Instrumental in the formation of groups that tackle poverty, development and education issues. Has inspired the return to school of over 100 teen mothers in just three years; has been a key player in the formation of school-based initiatives that engage youth in preventive programs.

JOE MUNGUTI - COMMUNICATION MANAGER
A graduate in Mass Communication; holds Diplomas in Project Management, Journalism & Computer Science as well as Certificates in Graphic Design and Public Relations. Been a journalist for over ten years and has worked extensively with local communities in carrying out needs assessments, implementing projects, tapping local resources and developing communication strategies.

BEATRICE CHEPCHIRCHIR - TRAINING MANAGER
Holds a Degree in Sociology; Diploma in Management & Certificate in Business Entrepreneurship. She has worked with women group for six years and assisted in the formation of over 30 women business groups. Has strong links with grassroots organizations and plays key role in networking and collaboration.
