More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
The Agros Development Model meets a community where it is. In Mexico, many groups have been granted land by the government, but still lack the overall holistic development that is characteristic of Agros’ vision. In this case, initial projects focus on improving agricultural production and environmental practices, including animal husbandry, pisciculture, soil conservation, and reforestation. Additional projects focus on small business development, human development, training, and education.
Activities
$6,850 funds one family during the five-year development process as they: raise and sell crops and animals; learn skills that increase production; build and grow their own businesses; and experience God’s blessing in their lives and relationships.

Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
The Agros Model works to ensure economic, environmental, organizational, and social sustainability. Sustainability is not only key for the villagers themselves but for the long-term and integrated approach that addresses these issues.
Project Message
The mission of Agros is highly motivating as a solution for the most needy. I am very sure that we can do great work in Chiapas.
- Sergio Araiza Bahena, President, Agros Mexico Board
