Providing direction and financial support to sustainable, community based humanitarian programs around the world.

Programs

1.The Khumbu Climbing School, ongoing 2.The Babu Chirri Sherpa school (funds already collected) to be built in Taksindu, Nepal when region stabilizes. 3.Climbing Wall in Ulan Bataar, Mongolia – completed in 2002 4. Future project is being planned to work with the native Inuits in Baffin in regards to global warming and the changes it is bringing to their communities.

Personnel Overview

Conrad Anker - Climber, Director of KCS
Conrad Anker is an American rock climber, mountaineer, and author famous for his challenging ascents in the high Himalaya and in Antarctica. He is a member of The North Face climbing team. In 1999 he was a key member of the search team which located the remains of legendary British Climber; George Mallory. He lives in Bozeman, Montana.

Jennifer Lowe Anker - President
Jennifer Lowe Anker formed the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation in memory of alpinist husband, Alex Lowe who died on the slopes of the Tibetan mountain, Shishapangma in 1999. She is an acclaimed artist, writer, mother of three children and serves as President of the ALCF. Jennifer is married to Conrad Anker and they reside in Bozeman, Montana.
